R. Banks Bourne
Founder, President & CEO
Prior to founding BurnsAdler, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for TITAN Technology Partners where he was a member of the Executive Leadership Team and responsible for raising capital, acquisition analysis and strategic alliances. Prior to joining TITAN Technology Partners, Mr. Bourne worked in the investment banking field for Wachovia Securities, Inc., Citibank, N.A. and Bourne & Co. Most recently he founded Bourne Partners, a life science investment and advisory firm.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management with distinction from North Carolina State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management. He currently serves on the Boards of Bourne Capital Partners, LLC and Bourne Investments, Inc.
Carolina Cortez
Director – Sales & Marketing
Mrs. Cortez is involved in the tactical management of sales, marketing, and business development efforts at BurnsAdler. She graduated with distinction from The Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. She has over 15 years of experience in International Business and has been in her current position with BurnsAdler for over 10 years. Mrs. Cortez is fluent in written and spoken English, Spanish and Portuguese.
William E. Taylor
Director – International Legal & Regulatory Affairs
Mr. Taylor is responsible for coordinating international pharmaceutical trademark and regulatory filings. He has a wide range of experience in dealing with U.S. and non-U.S. attorneys involving international law issues. Mr. Taylor has established an active attorney network in more than forty countries relating to intellectual property, corporate law, labor law, and product distribution legal matters. He has extensive experience in the protection of well-known trademarks and in transactional issues involving intellectual property rights. Prior to joining BurnsAdler, Mr. Taylor was actively engaged in the private practice of law in Kentucky from 1975 until joining King Pharmaceuticals International in 1999 as Director of International Legal Affairs. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and a former member of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Maryori Alvarenga
Manager – Pre-Marketing & Named Patient Sales
Mrs. Alvarenga focuses primarily on marketing, pre-marketing and export compliance at BurnsAdler. She serves as the company’s export compliance specialist. She is a graduate of The Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing and Management. Mrs. Alvrenga has over nine years of experience with BurnsAdler in international marketing, distribution and logistics.
